GEORGE W. ASHLEY
CPA, CVA
George graduated from California State University, Northridge in 1973, and is a Certified Public Accountant in Nevada and California, as well as a Certified Valuation Analyst. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Nevada Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts. He is the founding president of the Nevada Chapter of National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts.
George has been awarded a Certificate of Educational Achievement in Tax Planning and Advising for Closely-Held Businesses by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Besides his diverse background in public accounting, George has been a Revenue Auditor with the State of California, and vice-president of a real estate development and recreation company.
A resident of the Reno/Lake Tahoe area since 1976, George and his wife, Pattie, recently celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary. Outside of work, George enjoys sailing, cooking, wine, and travel. He is also a certified diver, and is learning to play golf and piano. If in need of translation, George is fluent in Spanish and Hungarian.
